Contemporary paintings and sculpture by Sydney based artist Deanne Palmer, exploring environmental themes through a practice shaped by natural and sustainable materials.

These paintings and sculptures illuminate the layers of the natural world that are before us at all times - the visible and the hidden, the fragile and the enduring, the tangible and the sensed.

Built through translucent layers of encaustic medium - beeswax, tree resin (sap) and pigment - they reflect the resilience of ecosystems and the hopeful act of repair.
